It is a title granted by the State, for a certain period, to protect this set of characteristics, preventing third parties from using it without authorization.Alternatively, the expressive creation of such lines, shapes, and colors may include copyright protection, as the case may be.
What is the advantage of protection?
The owner will have exclusive rights over this external aspect of the product or object and will prevent third parties from using it.
What happens if you don't protect it?
When these aesthetic aspects are not protected by industrial design, they are susceptible to free use in the market by third parties. Furthermore, preventing their use will be much more difficult and costly.
